RUVO field note

Set the shape before chasing the blend

Start by agreeing the weight line and finished silhouette with the client. Establishing that structure first gives every later guideline a purpose.

Use the clipper in controlled sections and keep the panel clean enough to read. Work in short, deliberate strokes instead of repeatedly polishing an area that has already opened.

Change tools when the job changes

The clipper builds the gradient; the trimmer defines the boundary; the foil shaver cleans the lowest panel. Asking one tool to do all three jobs usually creates heat, pressure, and unnecessary passes.
